Honda Accord

Christian Abbate, a friend of mine from the fantasy baseball dynasty that occupies too much of my time, shared with me this commercial for Honda. I am more of a Nissan fan myself, but must pay homage to quite possibly the coolest thing I have seen in my life. Alright . . . that is quite possibly the grossest overstatement of my life, but the video is nonetheless amazing. If you have somehow escaped my pursuit to show this clip to the world, your defiance must end here.

The commercial consists of one long domino-effect series, composed solely of car parts (presumably from the Accord). 3 months, 606 takes, and $6 million later, two continuous minutes of film were spawned that required absolutely no CGI. My favorite section is the windshield wiper sequence. It reminds me of Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Can anyone place it?

Feel free to read the fine print below the clip, you skeptics, but this sure seems like one cool science experiment. Is this what professional physicists do for a living?
